The Corona pandemic is having a huge impact on all sectors of the global economy. Events such as the closure of ports due to Corona cases, the blockade of the Suez Canal as well as global material shortages put pressure on supply chains worldwide and have an impact on the availability of components and production parts. For this reason, we would like to keep you up to date on current developments and inform you about the measures CLARK has taken regarding the current situation. Here you will find answers to the most important questions.
Are there currently delays in the production and delivery of CLARK trucks?
The drastic increase in freight costs, delivery delays due to bottlenecks in sea freight as well as the constantly rising raw material prices make for a difficult environment in the industry. It is our declared goal to minimise the impact of the current situation on our customers. Therefore, we have taken a number of measures in conjunction with the worldwide CLARK factories and the transporters, so that at the present time production is running in all CLARK factories. And the supply chains are also largely intact. However, should there be any delays in deliveries, the affected customers will be contacted directly by us. Should you have any questions regarding individual deliveries, please do not hesitate to contact your CLARK contact person. Customer service and the supply of spare parts continue to be stable.
Are you attending customer appointments again?
Home office and virtual collaboration have become firmly established in our company. We also communicate with our business partners or colleagues within the Clark organisation via video conference during the Corona pandemic. The project work of our teams is done via digital whiteboards and we use virtual presentation platforms to train our sales partners. The pandemic has shown that virtual exchange works well and saves us time and resources. In the long run, however, it does not replace face-to-face contact. Our entire after-sales service team is on duty and attends agreed customer appointments.
What measures were taken against the background of the Corona pandemic?
To protect our employees and customers, our employees are regularly informed about hygiene and behavioural rules in accordance with official requirements in order to prevent the spread of the Corona virus. We keep detailed records of when our field staff are on duty at the client's premises, thus ensuring complete traceability in the event of a suspected case of Corona.
In addition, we offer our employees a Covid 19 rapid test twice a week. If a CLARK employee is proven to be infected with Corona or if an employee is suspected of being infected, he or she must not visit any customers immediately and until there is no longer any risk of infection for third parties. We will inform you immediately if we become aware that employees who have worked for you in the last two weeks have been infected.
